The Agilis™ MIPS® is designed for cyclists who need an airy design and slightly deeper coverage, offering a variety of performance features for road cycling. The fit is comfortable and secure thanks to the adjustable Roc Loc® 5.5 MIPS system, which combines fit and positioning adjustments while integrating with MIPS technology for added protection against side impacts. The outer Hardbody™ shell is molded from durable polycarbonate with a permanent EPS foam liner using In-Mold™ technology to enhance durability and ventilation.

MIPS® Multi-directional Impact Protection System

The helmet features integrated MIPS - Multi-directional Impact Protection System - which protects the brain from the rotational forces that occur during a crash. Rotational violence to the brain can cause the most serious brain injuries. With MIPS, the outer and inner parts can slide relative to each other, reducing rotation and counteracting injuries to the head and brain. Tests and studies show that MIPS significantly reduces force and decreases the risk of severe brain injury.

As a rule, the helmet should be replaced after an external impact, such as a bicycle accident.


MIPS - safe cycling helmets, taking safety to a whole new level!

The Swedish invention MIPS stands for “Multi-Directional Impact Protection System” and takes the safety of cycling helmets to a whole new level. Very briefly explained, it is a construction that reduces the rotational forces that occur on the brain during angled impacts to the head.

A traditional bicycle helmet is made of two layers, and they are joined without being able to move independently of each other. It is designed to dampen and withstand the damaging pressure that occurs in the helmet, and so far so good... but in the vast majority of accidents involving cyclists, the helmet hits the ground at an oblique angle, rather than at a perfectly straight angle.

Smart MIPS allows the bicycle helmet to rotate relative to the head (via friction, the outer layer can move 10-15 mm relative to the inner layer), which provides helmets equipped with MIPS with significantly more effective protection against rotational violence and dramatically reduces the risk of brain injuries in cases where the bicycle helmet absorbs the impact other than perpendicular to the ground. It has been scientifically proven that helmets with MIPS can absorb and reduce blows and impacts from the rotating energy transferred to the brain during a strong impact.
